I relate SO much to this! Coming here from the NFE pod and so glad I did:) I grew up in a conservative evangelical household, and modesty standards are very important, and although I was not required to wear garments, I was shamed (by myself and others) for things I wore. I was obsessive with modesty until i entered the real world and slowly reorganized my priorities… it was so hard! Can’t wait to follow along!
Aw, I GET that. It's such a process and especially if you're prone to obsessive thoughts (me, too!) it can take a while to untangle everything. Still very much in it!
Abi, love the premise of this newsletter. I read all your posts and the Christy dawn one was so good! The agonizinggggg. I felt it, I have been there, omg the obsession is real!
Hope all is well with you. You edited a couple of my pod episodes!
SO RELATE! I grew up Mormon in Utah (went to UVU) and live in the DMV. Love your style and how you articulate the intersection of fashion and religious programming.
